In Sub-Saharan Africa, women make up 58% of the self-employed yet face significant barriers: as of 2023, they hold only 24% of parliamentary seats, and over 32 million girls remain out of school due to poverty, early marriage, and discrimination. At Inspire Action Africa, we empower women and girls through financial literacy, civic education, leadership training, scholarships, and mentorship, fostering entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. By promoting education and active participation, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and drive sustainable development across the continent.
Our financial literacy programs teach women, including those with disabilities, how to manage finances, budget, and make informed decisions, promoting financial stability and independence. We facilitate market access and networking opportunities, helping women entrepreneurs grow their businesses and secure sustainable livelihoods. Additionally, we support table banking groups, enabling women to pool resources, access loans, and invest in their businesses, fostering financial inclusion and resilience.

By empowering girls with access to quality education, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and foster sustainable development across the continent.
Women’s leadership and civic engagement in Africa are on the rise. As of 2023, women hold approximately 24% of parliamentary seats in Sub-Saharan Africa. Despite this progress, significant gaps remain in achieving gender parity. At Inspire Action Africa, we are dedicated to empowering women through civic education, leadership training, and mentorship programs. We provide resources and platforms for women to develop skills, engage in policy discussions, and take active roles in their communities.
Inspire Action Africa actively engages men and boys to promote gender equality and inclusivity. By fostering shared responsibilities and challenging harmful norms, we empower men to support women’s rights and well-being. We call for men’s active participation in eliminating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and femicide while promoting their involvement in maternal health.
These efforts strengthen families, improve community well-being, and drive sustainable progress toward a safer, equitable society for all.
