Inspire Action Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering vulnerable women, girls and youth across Africa through various programs.
We partner with community-based organizations to promote key initiatives in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights; Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene; Child Protection; Women Empowerment; Youth Empowerment and Climate Action.
To empower vulnerable women, girls and youth in Africa by equipping them with the essential tools, knowledge, and support needed to enable them lead productive, and fulfilling lives.
Inspire Action Africa improves Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for women and girls, including those with disabilities, in Africa. With 200,000 maternal and 1 million neonatal deaths annually in Sub-Saharan Africa, 35% of women facing Gender Based Violence (GBV), and FGM affecting 144 million, our initiatives are vital. We partner with community-based organizations and governments to provide inclusive healthcare education and advocacy.
Access to clean water, improved sanitation, and hygiene education is critical for health, especially for people with disabilities who may face additional barriers. Inspire Action Africa’s initiatives aim to improve access to these essentials, benefiting underserved communities and reducing waterborne diseases. We ensure that WASH facilities are inclusive and accessible to all, including people with disabilities.
Child protection is a critical issue in Africa, where 130 million girls are married before 18 and over 250 million children face online exploitation risks. Inspire Action Africa’s programs ensure vulnerable children access education, mentorship, and online safety, advocating against early marriages to create environments where all children, including those with disabilities, can thrive.
Economic empowerment is key for women, including those with disabilities, to overcome poverty and gain financial independence. Inspire Action Africa provides entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, market access, and table banking to support women in achieving economic self-sufficiency and becoming active contributors to their local economies.
Climate change disproportionately impacts women and children in Africa, especially those with disabilities, with 80% of people negatively affected by climate change being women and children. Inspire Action Africa promotes climate-resilient agriculture, renewable energy, and reforestation to build resilience and sustainability, ensuring that vulnerable populations can adapt to environmental challenges and lead in sustainable development.
We are committed to equipping the youth with the resources and skills needed to succeed in today’s world. Our Youth Empowerment Program addresses critical challenges faced by African youth, such as unemployment, limited access to technology, and lack of leadership opportunities.
Inspire Action Africa aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by empowering women, girls, youth and persons with disabilities vulnerable populations across Africa. The organization supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through sexual and reproductive health initiatives and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by combating gender-based violence and harmful practices like FGM. They We contribute to SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by improving access to WASH facilities and advance SDG 13 (Climate Action) by promoting climate-resilient agriculture, renewable energy, and reforestation efforts.
