Dr. Beth Kimathi is a Kenyan entrepreneur, transformative trainer, mentor, and social development enthusiast with over 18 years of impactful experience. As the Director of Programmes at Inspire Action Africa, she leads initiatives that empower vulnerable women, youth, and girls across Africa. Her work addresses critical issues such as Gender-Based Violence (GBV), teenage pregnancies, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), early marriages, and the impact of climate change on women and girls.
Dr. Kimathi manages a diverse portfolio of programs that include providing support to GBV survivors to access safe spaces and counseling services, offering sexual and reproductive health education, promoting alternative rites of passage to prevent FGM, equipping women with entrepreneurial skills for financial independence and training of women farmers in climate - smart agriculture in arid and semi-arid regions. Her expertise extends to collaborations with organizations like FCDO, Leonard Cheshire, Open University of the UK, Hope Tech Foundation, Porticus, UNHCR, UNICEF, and LWF, contributing significantly to social development programs.
